Mountie

Meaning: a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
For example:
·                           The Mounties are heroes in our family. They searched for my son when he was lost in the Rockies, and found him alive after three long days.
·                           The Mounties look so handsome and proud in their form-fitting, leather-strapped uniforms. 
Origin: short for "mounted police"
