DECEMBER    
Ice rink “Ice park”: at Palma’s Parc de Ses Estacions (Plaza España) everyday from 10am to 10pm. Special hours on the weekends. €5 euros includes skates. Gloves are required.
 
Santas Grotto at Planet Space in Son Castello and Son Bugadelles in aid of the Allen Graham Charity 4 Kidz. 9am - 7pm Mon Fri during December. 
  
Wednesday 28th -   LOS INOCENTES  is the Feast of the Holy Innocents which is a bit like our April Fools Day. People play hilarious practical jokes on each other. When someone falls victim to a jolly prank the joker shouts “Inocente, inocente!” Watch out for the local and national media getting in on the act too.
 
Thursday 29th - POOL PUSSY CHALLENGE at Hot Shots in Santa Ponsa. Free buffet. €2 to play a pussy! Starts 8pm
  
Saturday 31st -    NEW YEARS EVE is on a Saturday this year so there will be plenty of ways to bring in 2012 in style. It is also the traditional Fiesta de L´ Estandard which commemorates the Christian conquest of Palma by Rey Jaime I in 1229. A massive procession makes its way from the town hall in Palma to the La Seu cathedral for a service. Afterwards everyone tucks into a lavish BBQ and there is traditional Bal de Bot dancing. If you fancy a better boogie get to Hardleys American Diner in Port Pollensa where they are having a Disco Inferno Party.
