My name is Suzanne Harper and I'm going to talk to you about how to feng shui a living room. Main thing with a living room is to create a comfortable space where the family relaxes together and if you're single, where your friends can meet up and you relax and enjoy yourselves together, maybe watching TV, maybe just hanging out. So, what's really important? The hearth is the center of the living room and ideally if you have a fireplace, you want your seating arrangement around the fireplace.



Now, when we look at this particular living room, that's what we find, the seating is around the hearth area. Also, in terms of fortunate blessings, fortunate blessing area is in the far left of the room so we have a light and a plant over there. The other thing that's great in the center of the room, crystals are always helpful, prismatic crystals, and we have a lovely chandelier here, beautiful, very positive.

In the far right hand corner of the room, we've got a pair of dolphins. This is couple artwork and we've got an angel watching over them. We've got all the videos and books nicely stored here.

See over the fireplace, we've got family artwork which is lovely. Space to move around, space to put things, drinks, your notes, maybe dinner, maybe toys, this is a really comfortable inviting space. In the evening, you draw the curtains, you maybe wouldn't necessarily have the main light on, you would have a nice comfortable homely setting.

In terms of what you want to have in the living room, mirrors are absolutely fine. You could have a mirror here if you wanted to. The photos are great.

The main thing is to create a focal point. If you don't have a fireplace, you do want to create a focal point, preferably not the TV, something that brings people together. Something like this table if you didn't have the fireplace here would be a focal point.

You might have flowers on the table. You might have crystals, something beautiful. Health, wealth and happiness.
