HOW TO PRACTISE ENGLISH WITH COMICS.

Comics are great: they have imaginative storylines, can be very creative and original with the colours and with light and shade effects, the sequence of the images and the drawings and can set up stories that continue for many episodes that you can read again and again. In short: they grab your attention with all these aspects – some of which you might not even be aware of – and draw you inside their magic. Lots of people love comics! 

Comics are really good for practice if you want to increase your vocabulary and learn how to use typical expressions in a natural way. Why? Simple:

  • you can take your time because the pictures are going to stay right there;
  • you can observe the context, the facial expressions and the body language for as long as you need;
  • you can have a clear idea of what’s going on even if you don’t understand all of the words or phrases;
  • you can see how to use new vocabulary and phrases in the right context
