Fernando Olivera: El rapto.- TEXT FROM THE NOVEL The goldfinch by Donna Tartt (...) One night we were in San Antonio, and I was having a bit of a melt-down, wanting my own room, you know, my dog, my own bed, and Daddy lifted me up on the fairgrounds and told me to look at the moon. When "you feel homesick", he said, just look up. Because the moon is the same wherever you go". So after he died, and I had to go to Aunt Bess -I mean, even now, in the city, when I see a full moon, it's like he's telling me not to look back or feel sad about things, that home is wherever I am. She kissed me on the nose. Or where you are, puppy. The center of my earth is you". The goldfinch Donna Tartt 4441 English edition

Great Recipes for Healthy Skin

Healthy Tomato Sauce

Who wouldn't want beautiful and glowing skin? One important way of achieving this is by watching what you eat. Here are our favorite recipes that feature lycopene, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, minerals, and zinc -- they'll keep you looking good.
Tomatoes are the best source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that protects skin from environmental damage. Other foods rich in lycopene include watermelon and pink grapefruit.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 medium red onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 14 ounces (1 can) diced tomatoes in juice
  • 3 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crumbled
  • Coarse salt, to taste
  • Directions

    1. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, until softened, about 7 minutes.
    2. Stir in tomatoes and juice, wine, oregano, and basil. Simmer 8 minutes or until lightly thickened. Season with salt to taste.
